The rooms
Our house, built in 1910, has been our family’s property for four generations, is preserved and furnished with original inventory and restored to meet modern standards. We have four double rooms and a single room, bathroom with bath-tub and shower, large living room, sitting room and two additional lounges for our guests’ comfort.
The food
Home-cooked meals
Our meals are reminiscent of the meals you remember from your grandparents’ house, but with an added modern touch.
The kitchen is the heart of our home, and it is where we will gather for breakfast and meet throughout the day to enjoy coffee and cake, engage in casual chats, and relax.
Located on the ground floor, the kitchen has direct access to our kitchen garden and a short walk to the nearby shared village allotment where we experiment with the berries and vegetables our local climate can sustain. Our vision is to become mostly self-sufficient and to minimize the transportation needed to procure the ingredients we incorporate in the meals our guests get to enjoy.
The service
Service, to us, means making you feel at home. Being open to your wishes and needs rather than defining what makes a hospitable stay for you.
Rooms
Step back into your grandmother’s childhood bedroom into this cozy single room complete with the original lace bedspread and flower wallpaper. Free your imagination from our modern constraints through memories of the old toys adorning the dresser and let your dreams transport you back in time
Our great grandparents’ bridal suite serves as a reminder of the incredible craftsmanship of a previous time. The double bed with headboard dating back to 1905 and the vanity replete with the luxury items of the generations before us signal a sense of 19th-century refinement. The Double Room offers a magnificent view of the mountain ridge surrounding the village.
The mesmerizing wallpaper in the blue room designed by Christian Lacroix conveys a sensation of floating in an ocean forest. The luxury furniture is a relic from the original family home complete with the lace bedspread handmade by granny Herta.
Surround yourself with roses contrasted with the deep earthy colored furniture you recognize from your grandparent’s living room. The novelty items adorned with roses complete the theme.
Open the window when you wake up and feel the breeze on your face and hear the silence.
True to its name the green room envelopes you in the calm pastel color. The quiet pink detail on the wall together with origins family portraits reminds you to slow down and notice the present.
